Journal #13

Probably the most important part of every story is the theme. There are several elements that go into making a story but you definitely cannot have a story without a theme. The theme is considered the hidden meaning behind the story. Or perhaps it isn’t hidden. Sometimes, stories can almost be seen as one big metaphor for something. There isn’t a limit to the amount of themes one story can include but one is the most common and most reasonable. Having too many themes may be confusing for readers. The theme of the story should tie into just about everything in the story. In other words, it all comes back to the theme-–it is the root of the story.
