Journal #11

What stood out to me the most when reading this short story was the lack of information. The kind of information that draws the reader into the story. There were no names given to characters, instead they had titles like “Piano Teacher”. It just felt like a very impersonal way of story telling. By this I mean that there was a distance created between the reader and the characters that was intentional by the author. I thought the story was good but it wasn’t for me. I didn’t find myself captivated by it. With this being said, I had trouble analyzing it since I wasn’t enjoying it so much.
