First Impressions

Some after thoughts I have after reading Cally’s relationship with sports essay consist mainly of the story format. I really enjoyed the way she wrote her essay as a story of a little girl who was reserved and shy then grew up to become this social and confident leader. The imagery of the first paragraph really drew me in, also the apart where she describes dealing with a panic attack trying to refocus her brain. Reading this felt really relatable as someone who also deals with social anxiety and anxiety in general–It’s scary I feel as though she perfectly captured how it feels to have anxiety and what sports can do for a person who struggles that way. I enjoyed the way it tells a chronological story from growing up to the person she is now and how she discusses the changes of growth both mentally and physically. The end wraps up the story leaving the reader with teary eyyes and feeling warm inside by getting to see how sports can change a life.
