I really enjoyed the workshop, being able to bounce off of people’s ideas for my article. What I felt was most helpful during the workshop was hearing things I could add to make the story more interesting in order to pull more readers in. Although, I did appreciate the critical feedback I got which was a suggestion of paragraphs I could condense in order to meet the word count since I was over the maximum word limit. The best piece of advice I received was to tell the story through the voices of others, let the people I’m interviewing tell the story with their thoughts instead of explaining/summarizing what they are saying.
