This article covers the quarterfinal of the Hockey east Tournament matchup for the University of Massachusetts Amherst which was brought to an end by Boston University in a nail-biting 3-2 overtime thriller. The opening and quarterfinal rounds showcase some of the best on ice talent the NCAA has to offer. The quarterfinals consisted of Providence at UConn on March 14th and Northeastern at Boston College the following day. UConn stole a win with 47 seconds remaining in the game. Northeastern on the other hand took the win by stopping 30 out of 31 goals from Boston College. In the Semifinal Match Up the Hockey East final four (UConn vs. Boston University and Northeastern vs. Maine) will take place on March 20th at TD Garden in Boston beginning at 7:30pm which will be streamed on NESN+.

In this article the University of Massachusetts Amherst student chapter of Massachusetts Public Interest Research Group and state legislators are campaigning for the Hunger Free Campus Bill this spring to put up a fight for food security around campus. Food insecurity, or in other words, limited access to reliable and nutritious meals is a rising issue around campus that students and other recognize needs to be addressed. A report from the Greater Boston Food Bank revealed that 44% of public students in Massachusetts are currently facing food insecurity. The Hunger Free Campus Bill would provide capacity, guidance, and funding to help public universities with food insecurities. Senator Joan B. Lovely helped file the first version of the bill to begin running a grant program with grant funds that would distributed to different public universities based on the level of food security on campuses. A whopping total of about 1.5 million was funded for it. Aside form petitioning, students have also organized food drives and service events.
